Becki Newton

Becki was raised in Guilford Connecticut. When she was 13, she began to perform locally in shows and Stock Theatre. She studied European History at the University of Pennsylvania and during that her time there she spent a number of semesters overseas. Becki relocated immediately to NYC after graduating to pursue Broadway. Apart from a host of guest-starring roles as well as national commercials like Cold Case (2003) Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2000) as well as American Dreams (2002) she was cast as Amanda on Ugly Betty 2006. The brother of her Matt Newton is an actor and the husband of her Chris Diamantopoulos. When I think of gorgeous women, they're not supermodels. This is a good thing because I'm not having to think about the red carpet or work, since I'm not an expert. But, I do not hesitate to take risks with regards to beauty. Glam can be fun! The process of preparing for your day is not about being fussy. Self-care is more important. It's acceptable to be bit fussy. I once boasted in being a minimalist - I wore it like the badge of my honor.
