Allison Stokke

The pole-vaulting career of Allison Stokke came to an end prematurely, even though she had some notable wins in the beginning of her professional career. Stokke was also the subject of early sexualization via multiple sites that ignored her award-winning pole-vaulting achievements and reduced her to a mere an sex icon. Apart from pole-vaulting, she was also an athletic track and field American athlete during the early 2000s. In her days at high school, she broke many American world records in pole-vaulting. Allison Stokke, born on March 22 1989, began her professional career in sport through gymnastics. She followed in the footsteps of her brother David Stokke, who has been a gymnast at the national levels. In 2004, she broke the high school pole vaulting freshman American record set at Newport Harbor High School by jumping 3.86 meters. The following year Stokke broke her own vault record by leaping 4.11 meters. Allison Stokke, born on February 22, 1989, commenced her professional career in sport through gymnastics.
